The Peak District provided us with the perfect setting for the Baslow Very Vintage Xmas one day market.
The event featured a range of local vintage, handmade and brocante traders, selling a broad mix of gifts and collectables from French brocante to upcycled furnishings, handmade cards and jewellery and handmade chocolates.
Also on offer, and perfect for the season, were hand sewn gifts and floral Christmas arrangements from the BBC’s floral expert, Jonathan Moseley (also well known for his Florabundance Flower Festival at nearby Chatsworth House), to vintage china and cutlery.
Timed to coincide with the last weekend of the Chatsworth Christmas Markets, the event, at Baslow Village Hall, provided visitors with a feast of products from high quality hand picked vintage and handmade traders.
From the moment the doors opened on a sunny Sunday morning, a steady stream of visitors arrived to have a leisurely look round and soak in the festive atmosphere
The vintage themed tearoom, serving delicious traditional artisan cakes and hot drinks proved irresistible!
The Merry Vintage Xmas 2014 event at Baslow was a resounding success for traders and visitors alike and plans are afoot for next year with an even bigger and better and more spectacular Christmas extravaganza!
